Falling in Love with Montana

This has been coming on for the past few days, but today Deon and I couldn’t stop talking about moving to Montana. We have never visited the west side, and we were completely smitten.

We spent the morning with friends. Deon got in a good bike ride with Michael Riley, and I had Michaels sister and nephew over to swim. He and Dimitri are the same age, and got along very well. We pulled out of jellystone right at noon.

The next few hours were spent in eye-popping scenery. Craggy, snow-capped mountains and expansive lakes. Green all around. We drove through Glacier NP, and can’t wait to come back when we have more time.

Then the views turned to prairies, and soon we were at the Canadian border. It was an easy crossing, and a few more hours to Calgary. It is disorienting when it stays light so late. The last pic was taken at 10:45pm, and it’s still light. (Don’t mind the bugs on the windshield!)
