Making Tracks to Grand Prairie

Today we got an early start, then stopped in Grand Prairie for the middle of the day. Deon still needed to get some work in, so we parked in a Walmart parking lot and I ventured out with the kids. Luckily we were walking distance to a couple of fun excursions.

First stop was the Grand Prairie visitors center. We enjoyed the staff, and headed downstairs to the museum. Scavenger hunts, dinosaurs, Canadian history. The kids had a blast.

Then an easy walk through Muskoseepi Park.

And on to the GP heritage museum. This was a great find! It is an indoor and outdoor museum, with about 20 historic buildings moved to this location. They are all well furnished. There were scavenger hunts again, which my kids were super excited about. I just loved the history and how much fun my kids were having together. Notice the Canadian pledge of allegiance on the schoolroom chalkboard!

And then we were on the road again…
