Sunday on the Maine Coast

Today was a regional conference for all of Maine, so we didn’t attend church. It’s been a strange couple of months for church.

On the Portland locals page I found a farm hosting a plow day open house, so we went. Except it was too busy for the plows, but there were plenty of other fun things going on. There were pony cart rides, which the boys rode a million times, and a horse drawn wagon ride, and goat clipping and a blacksmith. Plus a small museum of old carriages. It was very easygoing and we enjoyed relaxing there. Deon once again reaffirmed his desire to live on a farm.

Then we headed down the coast towards Wells, where we will spend a week (I even made reservations). Along the say we stopped to see the Portland Head Light.

Aunica had some concerning face swelling, so she missed out today, and I will spare her public embarrassment of pictures. But suffice it to say we are looking forward to a slower week.
