This will be the one state we don’t spend the night in. It feels a little like cheating to me, but I do value the experiences we have over where we sleep, and we did have a good day.

I was a little more prepared today for the drive out of New Jersey. Google maps *really* wanted us to drive through manhattan, which I politely, repeatedly declined. I also priced some bridges (George Washington bridge would have cost us $85!) and ended up with the tappan Zee. I think it only cost us $25, but the fare will be mailed to me. Or to the owner of the trailer, which will be unfortunate. 

Easy drive through beautiful Connecticut and we stopped at Gillette castle state park. Too bad for us, the castle is still closed for the season. But the grounds were amazing, and it was fun to spot the first signs of spring.

Then we made the short drive to mystic seaport. It is a charming little town, and the pizza was AMAZING. Truly.
