Amazing Williamsburg

All the feels when we pulled into the rv park last night. This is the campground we stayed at for the fulltime families Halloween hangout. It changed our feelings about what we were doing from an adventure to a lifestyle. We found our tribe.  Even though all those people were scattered now, this place felt a little bit like coming home.

The reason we are here is that we missed doing Colonial Williamsburg our first time here. Don’t ask how that happened, I honestly have no idea. We saved the best for last, then were too tired to do it!

Deon chose to work today, so I was on my own with the kids. Colonial Williamsburg is an amazing place. You can visit for free, but we chose to pay the admission and access all the programs and historic buildings. It was pretty fantastic. My biggest regret is not giving ourselves more time here. We barely scratched the surface.

I feel a strong desire to spend a summer here, reexploring in depth this area.

The pool heater was broken, but the kids still braved the cold for a swim.

And, because I couldn’t bring myself to leave (not really, I’ve been carefully watching the cherry blossom report), we extended another day.
