Our very gracious hosts started our day off right with a breakfast of cheesy scrambled eggs and bacon. Like I said, a more gracious woman I have never met. My kids were so happy and welcomed, it filled my heart.

So this town, Hannibal, MO, was a must-see on my list. I do love mark Twain, and wanted to see the town that shaped him and his stories. We pulled the van and trailer into the parking lot of the museum. Deon spent the morning working while I took the kids through Mark Twains boyhood home and museum, out to Becky thatchers home, and down the street of this little town where he spent his days as a boy. 

   
   
Deon joined up with us after lunch, and I fulfilled a childhood dream by taking a steam boat ride down the Mississippi. Definitely a check on my bucket list!

   
   
Deon made a run through the museum and historic buildings, and we met up for a performance/impersonation of Mark Twain. Back to the rv for dinner and on to Springfield, IL.
