Still a little off-kilter

So, it’s Sunday, church day. But, apparently, not for us. I was already calculating who would be skipping church with the pukies, but, when we pulled into town at 2am to scope out the church location…no dice. Thanks, google maps. Should have known to cross-reference the church web site. :/ We did get a nice happy-birthday call for Dimitri from bishop Canaan, that was nice.

So, we all slept in instead. Did some laundry, and some driving.

We just barely made it to the USS Silversides before closing. It’s a WWII submarine, and ASTC reciprocal members, so we got in free. I stayed out with the sleeping babies, but Deon and the kids enjoyed it.

Then we headed to grand haven state park, an amazing beach on Lake Michigan. Beautiful sand, warm water. Reminded me of home. Took way too many sunset pictures. It was magical.

Well, magical until we left. When Sidda got sick again and puked in the sand. I sent Deon on ahead with the other kids to go see the musical fountain show. Sidda and I limped along, but we made it. I can’t take pictures to do it justice, look it up online. 😉 Even sick, she was glad she didn’t miss it.
