Strange days
We have been here long enough that it almost feels like regular life. Not a vacation. The slow, everyday normalcy. And I wish we could stay here forever.
Today we went to the parking lot of Disneys Hollywood Studios theme park. I say the parking lot because it was so crowded just in the parking lot that we turned around and came home. Silly, I know, but the long lines make my kids wish we hadn’t come, and for that amount of money that is NOT what I want to hear.
So we came home. The kids played with friends and the baby and I napped. Deon worked. It was just a regular day.
This evening Sidda opened her birthday presents, a wrap around skirt/dress and an American girl doll travel set. We went to a Chinese food buffet as her birthday choice. And we bought Kieran his birthday present as well. It was a jeep and trailer with a dinosaur that he picked out himself. Bought milk and cereal.
Just a regular day, and now I’m getting ready to chase all these kiddos into bed. It feels pretty good.
