Back to Nebraska
All of my kids have negative feelings about Nebraska. They are really unfounded; they are a result of a massive heat wave the only 3 days they have spent there. I am hoping I can erase those feelings, and today was a good start.
We left the campsite and headed north to Lincoln. We arrived around 2 at pioneer park nature center. I knew we would all need to stretch out legs after being in the car so long. It was a great nature area. We saw caged raptors and wild bullfrogs, soft shelled turtles, and some amazing tracks. There were turtle, raccoon, and deer tracks. We spent about an hour and a half here.
Then we headed over to the Lincoln childrens museum. It was open until 7:30pm, giving us about 3 hours, and the kids loved every minute of it. Aunica is a little old to enjoy childrens museums most of the time, but she loves playing with her little siblings.
Finally, we finished off our day by driving to Omaha.
