Happy birthday at the happiest place in earth! (Aka Disney day 1)
Today Sidda turned 11! I’m not quite sure where the last 11 years have gone, leaving me with this beautiful, funny, compassionate (and passionate) young lady.
As she has been anticipating for MONTHS, we spent the day at Disneyworld, specifically Magic Kingdom. The lines were pretty long, but we still got to see and do a lot. We went on the Swiss family treehouse, the magic carpets, the jungle cruise, the tiki room (which baby K still loves to sing, even in his sleep), pirates of the Caribbean, splash mountain, big thunder mountain railroad, the haunted mansion, it’s a small world (twice), seven dwarves mine train, Prince Charming carousel, tomorrowland speedway, and Astro orbiter (always my kids first Disney ride). We also watched the DANCE parade and the wishes fireworks.
I think we let the beginning of our day negatively influence the rest of our day. Disney did not honor Deon’s military card, leaving us paying about $700 more than I expected for our 4 day tickets. In retrospect, it was really a great day.
