Day 2 Franconia Notch New Hampshire and Maine!
Thankfully today’s hiking adventures were a little more relaxed. I was getting some push back from my tired kids, and from my own legs!
First stop: The Basin. Again, beautiful, powerful water from snowmelt. This is a great season to be here. We saw some crazy kayakers drop down into this basin. They all came in upside down, then flipped over. It didn’t look at all fun to me, but to each their own.
Then we sat on the beach at Echo Lake for a bit. It was a great end to our time here in New Hampshire.
Then we took a little drive and found Maine! Hooray! This is the last state we have to hit on this leg of our trip! I can’t believe we have made it this far! Now all we have to do is drive 2700 miles to get home…
We celebrated with pizza at Degree Pizza in Augusta. They made the pizza right in front of us. We even got a sweet pizza with Nutella, wild berries, and caramel. We snagged from whipped cream from the rv to top it off. Celebrate!
