Rhode Island sightseeing
Today was a full day, at least for us girls!
We left the boys at home and started our day at Newport mansions Elm St home. We did the servants life tour, which was an awesome backstage tour of the house. We even got to be on the roof! The only bummer was that we missed out on the fancy things in the house. Oh, well, such is the life of a servant!
From there we drove a short way to Fort Adams. The boys were there, but they opted to skip the tour in favor of throwing rocks in the bay.
This fort was never engaged in a battle. In fact, it was the country club of forts during WWII, with bowling, fancy balls, etc. We were able to go on the roof and in the “listening tunnels.”
From there, Chris, Deon, Aunica and Dimitri headed to Boston for a Bruins hockey game. Deon forgot his phone in the car, so no pictures, but my family had a great time. The game was exciting, although the Bruins lost in overtime. Aunica got a beer poured down her back, and Deon took a glass of wine to the lap. It was definitely an experience they are happy they had!
The only big time bummer was that Deon managed to take the keys to the locked rv to Boston with him. Chris and Nicole have an apartment on their property, so I was able to get the kids to sleep, but it was a pain, especially having to move them all in the middle of the night.

Apparently you didn’t leave all the boys behind when you went to the mansion.
That is true! 😃
