Easter in Rhode Island
We are absolutely loving being with family. Nicole is very laid back, which makes for an easy visit.
We opted to miss church today to spend the day with family.
We started our day with a fun egg hunt. Their backyard was perfect, and each kid had a different color to look for. We came up 4 eggs short. Don’t ask me how that happens.
Then I made a brunch of eggs Benedict. Love it! After we packed up and took a walk/float to the beach, not a quarter mile down the road. It was an amazing 80 degrees!
The only bummer is that Aunica seems to have tangled with a jellyfish. She didn’t feel it, but we did see a bunch of them. It got hard and swollen and itchy. Some Benadryl, hot epsom salt soak, and some quiet time and she was fine.
We ate a super tasty meal of brisket, ham, mashed potatoes, mashed cauliflower, and roasted asparagus. Nicole is a master of vegetables. I couldn’t get enough!
Lastly, all 8 kids got a dozen eggs to color. The big kids sweetly helped the littles, then we shuttled them all into bed.
