New Jersey
Well, we are moving right along in our adventure! We will be home in 50 days, which feels soooo soon. Some of our adventures are getting truncated. New Jersey is only getting about a day and a half.
Today we spent at Allaire State Park. They have a 19th century iron works village, with most buildings open for viewing, with costumed interpreters ready to answer questions. Strange though, they don’t allow any photography inside the buildings. Deon and Aunica chose to stay behind and get some quiet time while I took the other 5 out.
After we finished the village, we took a ride on a steam train with a special guest-the Easter bunny.
That was all fun, but my favorite part of the day was dinner.
We found a pizza place called OMG MYO pizza (MYO standing for make your own). It was the most kid-friendly place I have been to. There was a kids play area with toys and a video game room (that we didn’t even venture into-the kids didn’t even know about it). The kids all made their own pizzas and sundaes, and the staff really LOVED kids.
We ended the day at a county park campground playground in the dark, plying with some other kids.
Another day in paradise.
