In honor of Teddy Roosevelt
Today was all about good old Theodore Roosevelt. He said “I have always said I would not have been President had it not been for my experience in North Dakota.” Since I have a future president on the trip (any guesses?), I thought this is a must-visit.
Theodore Roosevelt national park is badlands, but dramatically different from those in South Dakota. They are more green and grassy. More colorful. We enjoyed seeing Roosevelts cabin and learning some history about him. And we all especially enjoyed seeing all the wild horses, and the babies.
I will say though, that I harbor a healthy fear of heights. And by healthy, I don’t mean in good health. I mean robust, sizable, debilitating. Well, not really for myself, but for those I love, especially my children. And I have threatened more than once to walk back to the car because I can’t handle watching my kids die. Don’t judge.

I flew over Badlands on my way from Austria to Vegas! It was awesome from the air, but probably more fun on the ground. I did look for you, but you’d already moved on.
I’m sure that the fear of heights stems from a healthy maternal instinct!
