Indecision…
As all new things, there are some things to be worked out. Deon is bearing the brunt of this, as he is the handyman/electrician/anything mechanical. He has struggled with getting the batteries fully charged (thankfully we do have a generator) and today, he had no work because everybody else has taken the day off.
So, today the kids and I were going to keep busy at the buffalo bill Cody museum, and then we would all head to thermopolis for hot springs. But Deon doesn’t like museums, and I had really packed too much into two days. So, we held a family council, and decided to head back in to Yellowstone. There will be change on this trip, I can feel it. And compromise. And letting go.
We did end up finding some hot springs (and we weren’t alone). It’s in north Yellowstone, called boiling River. The hot springs themselves are too hot to enter, at 140 degrees and up, but they empty into the river, where you can sit and enjoy them. Which we did.
Then we headed out for billings, through the north entrance, which is a beautiful, old, stone archway.
